These are broadly defined as inserters that are built to be used all three work shifts, if needed, and will hold up to processing millions of inserts with ordinary routine maintenance.
Methods of Inserting
Friction-Style inserters use soft rubber friction feeders as the main method of pulling inserts from the material feeders. Pitney Bowes inserters are known for the friction feeding of their production inserters.
Swing-Arm or Suction–Style inserters use a suction cup with compressor driven suction to “grip” and insert from a material station to add to a track of material that will all go in to an envelope. Phillipsburg, Bell & Howell and Inserco produce swing-arm or suction-style inserters. |
